Imagine by Moira Sutton

We are very excited to announce our second release of Dinky Stencils. We will be releasing our Christmas Dinky’s in a couple of weeks and we also have some great new Alterables launching this week too.
Moira kicks off our launch week with a stunning project!

Distress Reinkers - Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord and Tumbled Glass
Archival Ink Pads - Jet Black and Watering Can
That’s Crafty! Dinky Stencils – Flight of Butterflies, Believe, Metal Grid Background

Once again That’s Crafty! have launched an amazing series of fab Dinky Stencils, great for Hallowe’en, Christmas and everyday crafting.  I love these, if you haven’t yet tried them I really encourage you to - all the Design Team are in love with them and have been playing with them like demented creatures since they arrived with us last week and they will be showing some fabulous work this week using them.  That’s Crafty! have also extended their range of board and acrylic shaped stamping surfaces , postcard, 8x8, Door Hangers just to name a few, again an absolute necessity in the stash.  I am so privileged to be the first to use them today and I have chosen 3 of the new Dinky Stencils and the 8 x 8 White Board to showcase.

Firstly I made spray inks by filling the mini-mister bottles with 1cm of the reinkers and topping up with water. I then randomly spritzed the 4 colours over my board. The texture of the board means it sucks the ink in and as it dries it tones it down and gives a more subtle background.

Next I stamped the images from the JOFY set in Archival Black ink on my board.

I then stamped again onto white light card. I coloured the images on the white card using Cosmic Shimmer Water Colours and cut them out.

I randomly stamped the hatch stamp from the JOFY set in Watering Can Archival, and using the same Distress inks dabbed randomly through the Dinky Stencil.

Next I stuck the cut out leaves and flower heads onto my board adding some colour along stems and seed heads. To add the butterflies I used the Dinky Stencil and a mixture of 3D Gel with glass beads and Brushos in different colours. Imagine uses the Dinky Stencil and DecoArt Modelling Paste.

To complete, a few spritzes and dribbles of the gold Glimmer Mist and a coat of gloss gel to make it all very shiny.
