Hi there, as I’m sure you know by now we’re all celebrating the launch of the latest range of That’s Crafty! Dinky Stencils and you’ll have seen how versatile than can be. I decided on a journal page for my inspiration and you’ll see that I’ve used quite a few of the stencils on there.
That’s Crafty! Dinky Stencils – Believe, Hearts, Raindrops Background
Distress Inks – Crushed Olive, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Pumice Stone, Picked Raspberry
Journal – Mine is A5 in size
Colour the journal page by applying patches of all the Distress inks except the raspberry to the craft mat, misting with water and pressing the page on to pick up the colours. Repeat until the page is coloured to your satisfaction.
Stamp one of the women on the right hand side in the top half with the Archival ink and add a little more colour with pencils.
Stencil some raindrops at the top with the olive Distress ink and then add a little shadowing with a blue pencil. I think this really makes the raindrops pop!
Stencil a heart on the woman’s clothing with the raspberry ink and then add some more hearts at the bottom right of the page, again using the raspberry ink.
Using the text stencil and the grey ink, stencil the words next to the woman image. As a finishing touch, use the dotty stamp with the pumice ink to add texture to the page with first and second generation stamping.
We have a new challenge for you today over at That’s Crafty! Challenge Blog going live at 8am so hop on over for all the details and the chance at a fabulous prize!
