Something Wicked by Lynne Moncrieff

With just over one month until Halloween I thought it was about time I shared a Halloween related project. A Poe inspired card.

Supplies

Distress Ink Vintage Photo
Dissolved Walnut Ink Crystals (substitute with Distress Stain Spray/Distress Stain Walnut Ink)
Detail Scissors
Watercolour Brush and Foam Brush
Idea-ology Tiny Attacher
Extras:- Fabric scraps and wooden clock embellishment

Intructions

Apply dissolved walnut ink crystals or substitute to watercolour paper panel. Once dry flick the DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics to create splatters. At the same time stain shipping tag, fabric scraps, clock embellishment and watercolour/white cardstock.

Randomly stamp, second generation stamping, the Ouija text stamp with Potting Soil and onto the shipping tag stamp Poe followed by stamping the Ouija stamp around the edges. For the Poe stamp I used a brayer to ink up the image.

Onto the prepared watercolour/white cardstock sheet stamp the ornate border twice, the sentiment and onto a piece of the stained fabric, stamp the word Poe.

Use detail scissors or a craft knife to cut the border as it is quite intricate. Cut the sentiment into word tiles. Ink all edges before beginning to assemble the card, with the addition of strips of the stained fabric at the bottom edge and also threaded through the shipping tag.  Finally adhere panel to pre-scored cardbase or form your own 6”x4” cardbase, again distressing and inking the edges.

Until next time,

Lynne
