Wish Upon A Star Inspiration by Fliss Goodwin

I have a little midway inspiration for our current challenge over at That’s Crafty Challenge blog this week as I was sadly unable to make my inspiration in time last week so big apologies to everyone for that!

Ingredients:

Carabelle Studio A7 Stamp Set – Etoiles, Taches et Background
Distress Inks – Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean
Blue Card
XCut Nesting Star Dies
Card Blank

Recipe:

Cut a piece of stamping card slightly smaller than your chosen card blank and create an aperture near the top by die cutting with the largest star die. Use the ink applicator to sponge the card with the lime green ink. Stamp the star background all over with the same ink.

Next stamp on the large star with the blue ink, stamping on scrap paper first and then stamping twice before re-inking. Make sure you leave a space at the bottom for the sentiment which I stamped on with the same ink.

Now use the star border stamp to add some tiny stars around the corners. I did this by inking up just one or two stars at a time until I was happy with the effect.

I then made the panel to sit under the aperture by cutting a panel of blue card a little smaller than the green panel and stamping the face on the right side with the grey ink. You’ll need to stamp it slightly at an angle. I then stamped an array of stars round the face. I used the blue ink which I stamped twice on scrap before stamping on the panel.

Add some colour to the lips and over the eyes and use a white pencil to colour the whites of the eyes. Glue the star panel over the top and add the finished panel to the card blank.

See you next week when we will have some exciting things happening here!
