Don’t Forget To Fly by Lynne Moncrieff

The wooden flower I used isn’t very large but the perfect size for one of the Prima Finnabair butterflies along with a positive sentiment.

Supplies

Prima Finnabair Stamp Sets:- Don’t Forget To Fly and Dream On
Eye Pins
Round Nose Pliers
Extras:- Wooden flower, rusty tin wire, pearl beads, muslin, vintage lace and wet wipes

Instructions

Paint both sides of wooden flower with Claret and Stone. I used a wet wipe to dab the paint on, edging with Stone which I then misted with water before heat setting.

On both sides of the flower repeatedly stamp Dream On and some of the circle stamps before edging with Black Soot. Heat set then lay aside for the moment.

Apply the Frescos to watercolour paper and to a scrap of muslin. Stamp butterfly and sentiment. Fussy cut the butterfly and cut the sentiment into word tiles then edge with Black Soot.

Create three holes in the wooden flower before adhering torn pieces of vintage lace and a piece of the painted muslin, with Gel Medium, to one side of the flower. Onto this adhere the butterfly and word tiles.

Create a beaded dangle, attaching with a jump ring to the bottom hole in the flower. To create a hanger, twist rusty tin wire through the two top holes. Embellish one side by tearing the lace and painted muslin and tying to the wire.

I embellished only one side of the flower as I was too undecided if I wanted to decorate both sides.

Until next time,

Lynne
