Pretty Poppy by Donna Gray

Hello everyone,

Donna here today with a tag for you all using one of Tim Holtz’s flower garden stamps’.

Here’s What I Did:

I took a size 8 tag and scraped some DecoArt white crackle paint (tinted with a red DecoArt paint to create the pink shade) on it and put to one side to dry and crackle.

Then I scraped a light blue shade of DecoArt paint onto the tag background, dry again.

Next, taking a letter based stencil, just pounce some white paint through it lightly, then dry.

I used a Prima stamp to randomly stamp on the background using black memento ink then slightly wiped it back as I wanted it to fade into the background more.

Stamp your poppy and stem onto white card (using black Memento ink) I coloured mine with ProMmarkers. Adhere to the tag and then go around image with a black Stabilo or charcoal pencil to create some depth.

To add a finishing touch, I added a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker book, edged around the tag with black Distress ink and outlined the sentiment with a micron pen.

I love this flower set, it’s so pretty and perfect for any type of project.

Supplies Used:

Black Stabilo Pencil
Hope you like it
