Bloomin’ Beautiful Nature by Lynne Moncrieff

Hello,

In preparation of this project I found myself playing with JOFY stamps for the first time.

Supplies

PaperArtsy Stamp Sets JOFY11 and 14
PaperArtsy White Greyboard Tag Size (substitute with 7”x5” size)
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics:- Chalk, Mushroom, Stone, Caramel, Lake Wanaka, Space Cadet, Sage, Guacamole, Toad Hall and Haystack
White Cardstock (I used watercolour paper)
Splodger or old credit card
Extras:- Rusty tin wire, stained muslin

Instructions

Apply the various Frescos to board using spoldger or old credit card. Once happy with colours stamp flowers and grasses onto the panel. Stamp a few of the small circles from JOFY14 towards the upper right corner. Highlight the stamped images with Twinkling H20s. I selected golds, coppery orange colours and greens.

Onto white cardstock daub a few of the Frescos to achieve a nice variation, then stamp the selected words. Adhere to panel with Gel Medium, layering one of the words onto stained muslin scrap (this was a leftover piece from another project but you could either stain with tea, coffee, dissolved Walnut Ink Crystals, Distress Stains or Distress Stain Sprays or a dilution of Fresco Caramel).

Randomly swipe Precious Gold Mica Flakes onto the panel, in particular the edges. Finally embellishing the panel with small coils of rusty tin wire, decorating the lower border.

I have to say Thank You for always being so supportive, especially when I dabble with styles outside my “norm” and playing with colour. It is the first time in my crafty life that I have really embraced experimentation as early on I found discovered my love for vintage/shabby chic but it was time to shake things up a wee bit!

Until next time,

Lynne
