Simplicity by Deborah

StencilGirl - Pam Carriker: Bird in Window 6 x 6
Silver Paint eg Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber Metallic Silver
Water Soluble Pastels (or Gelatos)
Blue Card
White Card Blank

This card looks more suited to Winter than mid-May but, hey, that's the way it turned out. And it's always handy to have cards for Winter birthdays ready ahead of time.

I brayered Night ( a very dark blue) onto a Gelli Plate that still had some red paint on, hence the purplish hue and patches of red. Once I'd placed the stencil on top I used paper towel to blot most of the paint from the apertures. Then I dabbed silver paint through the stencil using the small circular blending tool.

To be honest, it all looked a bit indistinct, but that's fine. It can be fixed! Once it was dry I just added extra colour and definition with a mix of watercolour pastels, pencils and Gelatos, along with the white Sharpie and black Fude Ball pen.

After placing the stickers and trimming the print to size, I mounted it on blue card and then onto a card blank.

  4. Love the unique and different so this card is SUPER Deborah. And it looks just like today in Texas - in fact all week.... rain. The bottom of the gelli looks like it is dissolving into a rainy day... and the little bird is enjoying the water!! That could even be part of a little green frog there - heheheheh!!! j.
