French Fashion by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have a little bit of Parisian couture to share this week as these stamps were on my wish list as soon as I saw them. This is mostly because my younger daughter is the print designer for a small and upcoming design label after gaining a first in her fashion degree. The stamps reminded me of the graduate catwalk show we saw a couple of years ago.

Faux Stitching Stamps
Script Stamp – I used the Kaisercraft clear stamp
Distress Inks – Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Crushed Olive, Milled Lavender, Bundled Sage
Ink Applicators
Card Blank

Make the background paper by using the paler shades of Distress inks with ink applicators to form a random patchwork type pattern.

Stamp the script image across the centre – you’ll need to do this twice to fit. Next stamp one of the pretty borders from the Prima set underneath with the Archival ink. Stamp the Eiffel Tower in the upper portion of the paper on the right hand side. Finish off by stamping faux stitching round the edges with the grey ink.

Stamp the runway image and fleur de lys on smooth stamping card with the grey ink and colour with ProMarkers. Cut them both out and glue to the background paper as shown.

Distress the edges, then stick the background paper to your chosen card blank. Stamp the text from the borders set with the grey ink, colour with a pink ProMarker and cut out the individual words. Run a dark grey ProMarker round the edges and then glue to the card to finish.

We have a fab new challenge for you over at the Challenge Blog today going live at 8am and this one has a theme, which is one of my most favourite! Hope you love it too!

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
