Springtime Maiden by Lynne Moncrieff

A beautiful Spring morning and this maiden is taking a stroll through the woods, gathering wildflowers along the way, with the butterflies to keep her company. She does wish the terrain was easier on her wheels!

Supplies

Oxford Impressions Stamp Sets :- Le Jardin, Jane’s Garden, The Bird’s Nest
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paint:- Antarctic, Lake Wanaka, Chalk and Crackle Glaze
White Cardstock

Gel Medium
Silicone Glue
Extras:- Panel of bark, wooden frame, balsa wood, rusted tin wire, lace rose trim, stained lace

Instructions

Prepare cardstock with Crackle Glaze and Fresco chalk paints. Cut one large panel, the remainder will be used as a stamping surface for some of the stamped elements. Repeat the Crackle Glaze step, this time using the Crackle Glaze on a decorative wooden frame.

Prepare another sheet of cardstock with the paints, I applied with a baby wipe, using a stippling motion to apply the paints. Also apply paints to a fragment of balsa wood and a Prima natural bark icon.

Stamp the lady directly onto the crackle glazed panel. Ink up once again, this time stamping onto the painted cardstock. Fussy cut the image, discarding the birdcage element before layering onto the main image. Stamp the floral bouquet onto the painted cardstock, fussy cut then adhering to her hand.

Stamp, onto the painted and crackled surfaces:- eggs, bird, butterflies, feathers, text and the Birds of a Feather label. Stamp an egg onto the Prima bark icon.

Start to assemble by firstly adhering trims to top edge of bark panel. Create holes with a Crop-A-Dile, threading rusty tin wire to form a hanging. Adhere the stamped Prima bark icon with silicone glue.

Follow the photograph for the placement of the various stamped elements, adding a  scrap of mica tile to the panel of text and dry brushing a piece of Crunchy Wax paper with Chalk paint before roughly pleating and adhering above text panel.

Until next time,

Lynne
