Create Magic by Alison Hall

Hello Crafters. This week I have been inking up one of Finnabair's lovely stamp sets, and I have a mixed media tag to share with you.

Ingredients

Ranger Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain
Tim Holtz Tonic Studios Paper Distresser
Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel - Aged Silver
Red Bead

Instructions

1. Use the brayer to apply a patchy layer of Beach Hut Fresco Finish Paint to the Manila Tag. Keep the edges fairly free of paint.

2. Use Jet Black Archival Ink to stamp the woman on the left hand side of the tag, going slightly off the edge, then partially stamp the inky background around the edges, bending the stamp and trying not to get any harsh lines. Stamp the circular window off the right hand edge and two corners of the tag.

3. I used scissors to separate the phrase 'Create Magic', so that I could stamp the words one below the other. If you make one straight cut between the words, it's easy to place them back together, if you wish to stamp them next to each other.

4. Use the ink blending tool to apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the tag. I left the middle of the tag manila. Distress the edges of the tag with the Paper Distresser, then ink the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

5. Sprinkle some Aged Silver embossing enamel around the edges of the tag, then use the heat gun to melt it, heating from below so that the powder doesn't fly away.

6. Water down some Beach Hut Fresco Paint, then use it to colour some Crinkle Ribbon and lace. Tie the ribbon through the top of the tag, and use Glossy Accents to adhere the lace to the bottom.

7. Add a layer of Glossy Accents to the heart, then glue a red bead or button over the 'O' in the word 'Now'.

I hope my arty little tag inspires you,
