Bloom by Lynne Moncrieff

This week my project features a beautiful bloom with petals made from a bird’s wing!

PaperArtsy Stamp Sets ESN13, ESN15 and ELB03
Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics:- Vanilla, Buff, Lavender, Blue Oyster, Purple Rain, Blueberry, Wisteria and Smurf
Jute Twine
Extras:- burlap butterflies (mine were purchased but you could die-cut or hand-cut butterflies) and baby wipes

I used a vintage Bingo card because it was there (!) but white cardstock, white grey board, etc will work.

Randomly apply Grungepaste followed with the Frescos. Aim for a textural appearance.

Ink up script from ESN13 with StazOn, stamp randomly. Lay panel aside for the moment.

Apply Smurf and Blue Oyster with baby wipe to white cardstock. Stamp bird’s wing (ESN15) 10 times with Versafine. Apply Wisteria to scrap piece of cardstock. Stamp circle emblem (ESN15). Cut away outer circles. Ink up the word Bloom (ELB03 – the Artful Blooms stamp) only. Apply Black Soot to all edges.

Form a flower from the petals and circles. Adhere burlap butterflies.

Dilute Blueberry, Wisteria and Purple Rain and apply to jute twine. Once dry create a frame around the word Bloom.

Finally apply Black Soot to edges of panel.

Until next time,

Lynne x
