Home is where the Heart is by Alison Hall

That's Crafty! have a great selection of the new PaperArtsy stamps which were released last week, and today I have a little hanging to share, on which I used the new Funky Houses and Limited Edition Paints by Lin Brown.

Ingredients

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint - Lin Brown Limited Edition Set 3, Chalk
Hanging Chunky Board - Small
Craft Mat

Instructions

1. On the craft mat, mix a little of the Caribbean Sea Limited Edition Fresco Paint into some Chalk Fresco Paint, to make a pale turquoise, then use this to paint the chunky board on all sides.

2. Use the Cut-N-Dry foam to apply Caribbean Sea Fresco to the tall house background, then stamp it on the bottom left of the board. Use the black Versafine to stamp the house outline over the top. Use a heat gun to dry the black ink. Don't worry if the outline doesn't match perfectly with the background, a bit of pale background peeping through looks good, and adds to the charm of these funky houses. Paint the door, windows and little roof hangys with Bougainvillea Fresco.

3. On a piece of white smoothy card, stamp the house background with the Bougainvillea Fresco. Stamp the house outline in black, then cut out just the roof and glue it in position, over the roof on the board.

4. Stamp some extra foliage at the bottom of the board, and the circles background in the top right corner. Paint the little circles with Bougainvillea Fresco.

5. Paint a piece of white Smoothy Card with Caribbean Sea, then stamp the phrase in black Versafine. Set the ink with the heat gun. Cut out each word, edge with black ink, then glue in place on the board.

6. I made another little roof hangy by painting a piece of Smoothy Card with the pale turquoise used for the base. I then stamped the part of the house outline roof that I needed, painted the circle with Bougainvillea, carefully cut it out, then used a dot of Glossy Accents to glue it to the left of the roof.

I think this would make a lovely house-warming present, or you could use a card as the base for a new home card.
