Her Eyes Reveal Her Strength by Lynne Moncrieff

A simple card featuring Brusho Crystals which I have used to create a background, stained seam binding and to colour cardstock which I used to stamp onto.

Brusho Crystal Colours:- Rose Red, Brilliant Red, Crimson and Vermillion
Extras:- seam binding, lace, mulberry paper and lace rose

1. Prepare background with Brusho by sprinkling onto the watercolour paper, misting with water and drying with heat gun. Adhere to cardbase.

2. Onto cardstock apply the same mix of colours misting with plenty water as you don’t want the colour to be too intense. Also apply to seam binding. Once dry stamp bunting onto the cardstock. Highlight some areas with gold pen. Adhere to top of cardbase.

3. Spray mica spray onto mulberry paper. Leave to dry. Once dry, stamp LPC006 image.  Stamp again onto the prepared cardstock in Step 2. Cut out area around her eye from the cardstock and layer onto the gold mulberry paper image.

4.  Layer image to cardbase with another section cut from the stamped cardstock, embellishing the image with stained seam binding a fragment of lace.

5. Stamp sentiment onto prepared mulberry paper. Cut sentiment into word tiles. Edge with Distress Ink. Adhere to cardbase.

6.  Finally add small touches of mica flakes to the card and embellish top corner with stained seam binding and lace rose.

Until next time,

  1. A wonderful card Lynne, with a unique design and fab colours and details, love it!!! xx

  2. So many lovely details Lynne, a beautiful piece! xxx

  3. I love what you have done with the seam binding and the way that the torn edges of the mulberry paper complement the tiny lace scrap. This is such an intriguing image and you have presented it so creatively. The sentiment is just right and enhances the card too! xx

  4. What a burst of wonderful pinkish tones, dear Lynne , and what a wonderful eyes on that stamp. Beautiful, that you picked up the background tones to the banner , the flower, and the seambinding -making interesting things happen all around the card, and also staping the eye on the lilac cardstock.
