When You Wish Upon A Star by Lynne Moncrieff

Hello, this week I am sharing my first Christmas project, a Christmas card featuring a paperclay star.

Supplies

Watercolour Paper - cold pressed (substitute with Ranger Distress Watercolour Cardstock which is available from That’s Crafty)
Idea-ology Tiny Attacher
Paper Punch – Tag
Jute Twine
Old Rolling Pin

Instructions

Preparations

Paperclay Star:- This requires drying time so start by making the star.

Working on a craft mat, roll out paperclay. Repeatedly stamp into clay with snowflake stamp. Wash stamp immediately. Cut star shape with clay cutter.  Leave to dry on a flat, absorbent surface.

Staining:- Spray Distress Stain Spray onto jute twine and wax paper. Leave to dry.

Card:- Tear watercolour paper to required size – I made a petite card.

Heat emboss Sleigh Bells and heat emboss edges of cardbase.

Heat emboss wish onto scrap of watercolour paper. Paper punch tag shape.

Apply Distress Paint onto clay star. Once dry apply Gel Medium and generously cover with Glamour Dust. Also apply Glamour Dust to stained wax paper.

Apply Gesso onto Mirrored Star, quickly wipe off excess. Adhere to clay star.

Assemble the card, attaching twine to tag with Tiny Attacher.

Wishes,

Lynne
