Patchwork Vintage Card by Mandy C

Over the next couple of week’s I’m going to use the same stamp set and show you different ways of using the set to show you how versatile just one stamp set is.

Mandy’s Must-haves ~ these are the items I always use in my projects

Cosmic Shimmer Glue

13cm square card blank
StazOn ~ Timber Brown

·       Firstly, take your stamping card and cut out four 3 x 3 cm square, four 3 x 5cm rectangles and one 5 x 5 cm square.

·       Stamp two of the mini squares with the bear stamp and the other two with the bell using the black Archival ink.

·       Stamp the santa on the large square.

·       Leave the rectangle pieces for now.

·       Edge all 9 of the patchwork pieces with the Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink then some StazOn Timber Brown.

·       Take another piece of card around 11.5cm square ~ it doesn’t have to be exact as you will cut around it.

·       Glue your pieces into place, using the corner and edge of the card as a guide, leaving a minute gap between the pieces.

·       Once all the pieces are glued on, cut around the edge of the patchwork square.

·       Stamp onto the remaining rectangles using black Archival and the holly stamp from the set.

·       Colour the images with watercolour pencils. I added berries using the promarker so they would be more bold.

·       At this stage I thought the background of the patchwork was a little bland, so I added a little colour, beginning at the outer edge of each of the pieces and working inwards with watercolours. This gave the card a little more vintage appeal.

·       Mount onto the card blank.
