Sew ~ A Needle Pulling Thread by Mandy C

Mandy’s Must-haves ~ these are the items I always use in my projects

Waterbrush

White Card ~ to make your base card
Gold Gel Pen

·       Take your A5 white card, measure one of the short sides up 9.3cm and draw a line across to the opposite top right hand corner, cut along the line. Then measure at 7cm, 14cm and 21cm. Score 3 lines then fold the card according to the picture. Set to one side.

·       From the OI set stamp out, using the Watering Can Archival Ink, 3 x hook n eye packet, 2 x button pack, 3 x pin packets, 2 x thread holder, one of the cotton reels and a pair of scissors onto your stamping card. Cut out the images and arrange onto the 3 sides of the card that will be showing. Leave a small gap around the edges. Glue into place using the Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

·       Stamp the lady, word ‘sew’ and the cotton reel label onto white card using the black Archival. Cut out and glue onto the black card and cut out leaving a very small blue line of black around the images.

·       Glue the images onto the card. Colour with watercolour pencils and your waterbrush. Use lighter colours near the centre of the images and then darker towards the edge.

·       Add gold highlights with the gold gel pen including colouring the scissors in with gold.

·       Use the silver Gelato on the thread holders ~ this adds some shimmer.

·       Finally, add Crackle Accents to the cotton reel label, and some of the buttons on the middle part of the card.
