She Will Stay Strong by Lynne Moncrieff



 

 

The Dina Wakley Stencilled Women immediately caught my eye and I was eager to play with it, the result of the play time is this journal page.
 

SUPPLIES

Distress Paint Black Soot, Picket Fence
Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Paint Hallow Sea, Spiced Raspberry, Tuberose
Artist Palette Knife  (or old credit card)
Extras: Lace, paper flowers, tissue paper
 

INSTRUCTIONS
 

Layer torn pieces of lace and paper flowers to watercolour paper. Apply paint and Gesso – between layers mist with water before heat setting and applying another layer of paint with palette knife.
 

Stencil woman’s face onto page with Black Soot. Heat set. 
 
 
 
 
 

Stamp Stay Strong onto tissue paper. Discard Stay and adhere Strong onto woman’s face with Gel Medium.
 

Randomly stamp handwriting and textures with StazOn.
 

Paint polka dots of various sizes and flick pink Twinkling H20 onto panel.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Journal around the woman’s head.
 

Swipe Black Soot onto edges of panel.

  7. Dear Lynne, it is fantastic,- the background is gorgeous and so allive, and the stamp, ...she kind of reminds of Coco Chanel ,whom was a very strong woman,too ......is wonderful with your background colours perfectly placed in her head ! I also love the journaling around her head !!!!
