Life is Art by Lynne Moncrieff

Once again I am sharing a project featuring an Art Saying.  I cannot believe this set never caught my eye before!

For the first time I worked on a Paper Artsy Grey Board and I can report that I was impressed with the way it accepted various media and I had no need to apply a base coat of Gesso.  It was the perfect base for a little hanging I created as a gift for a friend’s studio.

SUPPLIES

Dina Wakley All The Gals and Textures
StazOn Jet Black
Distress Paint:- Black Soot, Broken China
Cosmic Shimmer Matt Paint:- Tuberose, Shallow Sea, Spiced Raspberry, Jade Mint
White Cardstock (scrap will do)
Extras:- Lace, Black ricrac, Dressmaker Snaps, small bottle lid, old credit card

INSTRUCTIONS

Adhere lace/netting to the grey board. Leave to dry before applying paints.

Stamp Gal and Textures. Dip bottle lid into Shallow Sea and stamp circles. With an artist brush, scribble Tuberose paint onto the Gal’s clothes. To create balance, add dots of Tuberose to other areas of the panel. Swipe Gesso onto panel with an old credit card.

Paint white cardstock with Jade Mint. Stamp Art Saying. Cut into word tiles. Sponge Black Soot onto edges before adhering to panel. Draw boxes around the word tiles with fineliner pen.

Dab Black Soot paint onto Hinge Clip. While this is drying, embellish the panel by adhering black dressmaker snaps with Glossy Accents and black ricrac along bottom edge of panel. Clip Hinge Clip onto panel threading through length of ricrac.

This is now ready to hang in you or a friend’s art studio.

Until next time,

Lynne
