Trust Your Strength by Fliss Goodwin

Hello there, this week I have a card to share, which is perfect for a friend or relative that might be going through a difficult time in their life. This is my first inking up of a fabulous set of stamps by IndigoBlu celebrating British heroines and I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of anyone tougher than Boadicea!

My card this time uses just the floral image that comes with the set but Boadicea will be making an appearance next week!

Here’s What You Need:

Distress Inks – Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar
ProMarkers – Pinks, Yellows, Orange, Greens
Square Card Blank or make your own

Here’s How To:

·       Cut a piece of stamping card the width of your card blank and around 7cm high. Stamp the floral border from the set in the centre with the grey ink. Colour the flowers and leaves with the ProMarkers.

·       Using an ink applicator, apply Scattered Straw all over the stamped image. Add Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar around the edges. Add a little darker yellow colouring over the words on the image with a ProMarker. Distress the edges with an emery board if you like.

·       Stamp the floral border directly on to the card blank in the top right and bottom left corners with the pink grapefruit ink, inking the stamp only partially to stamp at the top.

·       Add the image panel to the card roughly across the centre. Stamp the trust text on a scrap of stamping card with the grey ink and cut out. Add colour with yellow ProMarkers and stick on the card under the image panel.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.

  1. Such a pretty card, Fliss. Who'dve thought it was from a set called Boudicca! Like how you used the same stamp for pale background and the focal point.
