The Butterfly Collector by Carol Fox

·       Ink the outer sleeve and outside of the tray with brown Distress ink.

·       I cut some pieces of scrap paper to line the inside of the box, inked these with green and blue Distress inks, edging them with the brown as used before. Stick the lining into the box.

·       Stamp the butterflies onto a scrap of thin card, cut out the largest, colour and stick into position in the tray with the wings in a raised position, stamp and add the word.

·       Stamp the butterflies again and cut out a rectangular piece that will fit the front of the match box. Colour in, edge with black acrylic paint and hand draw lines with a pen.

·       Add a couple of strips of washi tape to the outer box and then stick the piece with the butterflies onto the front. Re-ink the whole thing lightly with brown and red inks to age and blend it all together.

  1. Carol, this is just delightful! Love the butterfly stamp you have used on the matchbox. I don't have that die, but think I should...this looks like a fun project (that is, if my thumbs aren't too big)!
