Ring Out The Bells by Fliss Goodwin

Hello there, I have yet another Christmas card to share this week as I wanted to show you how versatile the amazing Inkadinkado Stamping Gear is, especially when you want to make some cards in a hurry. Not that this one is a quick creation but something you might want to give a special someone. For this card I haven’t actually used any of the specially designed stamps but as you’ll see, it works really well with the Tim Holtz mini stamps.

Here’s What You Need:

Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Round Cog (available as a starter set as well as a larger set with ovals)
Distress Inks – Shabby Shutters, Crushed Olive, Tattered Rose and Wild Honey
XCut Nesting Die Set – Circles or similar
Square White Card Blank or make your own

Here’s How To:

·       Using the Stamping Gear cog, place this in the centre of a piece of stamping card cut to fit a 15cm square card blank. Place the bells stamp on the paddle and ink up the image with the crimson copper ink.

·       Stamp repeatedly round the cog, re-inking each time before stamping. You’ll need to place the paddle in every other slot and will end up with 8 stamped images.

·       Paint the images with the Twinkling H20 paints of your choice and allow to dry. It gives a lovely sheen, which you can’t really see in the photo. Cut out round the images and then sponge the lighter green ink over the bells. Sponge Wild Honey in the centre and the Crushed Olive round the very edges.

·       Stamp the sentiment on to a scrap of stamping card and die cut into a circle to fit the centre of the bell wreath. Sponge with green and pink Distress inks. Glue in the centre of the bells.

·       Ink around the edges of the card blank with the Shabby Shutters ink and the stamp the music score image on with Wild Honey. Add Tattered Rose round the rim and over-stamp the music score with the same colour for added definition.

·       Add the bell wreath to the inked and stamped card to finish.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.

  1. Such a lovely, warm card, Fliss - definitely for someone special. I haven't made much use of my stamping gears. Yet. Must do something about that.
