Make Your Mark by Lynne Moncrieff

That’s Crafty! stocks the most amazing selection of paints. I am impressed with the Cosmic Shimmer Chalk paints, normally selecting pale, delicate colours but as I am trying to play around with colour at the moment I consciously selected some of the more vivid colours in the range.

SUPPLIES

Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Paint:- Citron, Spiced Raspberry, Tuberose, Jasmine
Distress Paint Tattered Rose and Black Soot
White Cardstock or 6”x4” pre-scored cardbase
Watercolour paper HP 300gsm (or substitute with Ranger Watercolour Paper)
Extra:- lace, muslin and old credit card

INSTRUCTIONS

Create texture by applying torn lace and fabric onto watercolour panel. After leaving to dry for a few minutes apply the paints using old credit card and fingers. Mist with water and heat set.

Stamp scribbly woman and randomly stamp handwriting (Texture).

Swipe paint onto cardstock scrap. Stamp Art Saying. Cut saying into word tiles, edging each word with Black Soot Distress Ink applied with a sponge wedge. Adhere to panel.  Stencil You Have To from Affirmations stencil with a fine liner black pen.

Adhere to pre-scored cardbase and edge with Black Soot Distress Paint.

Until next time,

Lynne

  1. Wow, you've really pushed the colour this week, Lynne. What a great colour combo. And I like how the words are from two different sources.
