Family Vacation by Lynne Moncrieff

This week I am sharing a card where I have combined Oxford Impressions By The Sea and The Deep.

Oxford Impressions By The Sea and The Deep
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Sherbert and Antarctic
Distress Paint Blue China, Tattered Rose and Vintage Photo
300gsm Hot Press Watercolour Paper
White Cardstock or 6”x4” Pre-Scored Cardbase
Extras:- sequin waste (stencils are available from That’s Crafty with a similar design), vintage lace and lace rose (re-cycled from a previous project!)

Apply Blue China and Shallow Sea to watercolour paper. Stamp coral (The Deep) with Sepia ink onto lower edge of panel. Sponge Sherbert and Gesso through sequin waste.  Edge card with Vintage Photo before adhering to cardbase.

Apply Antarctic and Tattered Rose to watercolour paper (scraps). Stamp sentiment (The Deep), tickets and hotel advertisement. Cut out each individual word of the sentiment, edging with Vintage Photo.

Ink up photo real image with Sepia ink, applying ink with brayer. Stamp onto glossy cardstock. Abrade edges and apply Broken China.

Adhere all stamped elements onto cardbase, embellishing with vintage lace, lace rose and muslin.

  13. Oh, what a nostalgic and beautiful card. It reminds me of a haunting poem by e e cummings called 'Maggie and Milly and Molly and May', which ends 'For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it’s always ourselves we find in the sea' - have you read it? I think it's beautiful. Just like your art work here. Julie Ann xxx
