Angel Heart by Fliss Goodwin

Hello there, this week I have an alternative Christmas card to share. If, like me, you have a few arty friends, they might appreciate something a bit different and I think the gorgeous Carabelle Studio angel stamp is perfect for that. As you’ll see a stamp that not actually meant for Christmas works rather well.

What You Need:

Carabelle Studio – An Angel Heart, Texture Stars
Stampendous Stamp n Stuff Embossing Powder – Detail Silver, Detail White, Detail Copper
Stickles Glitter Glue – I used Frosted Lace, Diamond and Cinnamon

Here’s How To:

·       First, make the background paper. Cut a piece of Watercolour paper to fit your chosen card blank. Add colour with the lettuce paint dabber. Use the embossing ink to stamp stars around the edges and then heat emboss with a mixture of white and silver embossing powders. Use your finger to smooth on some glitter glue and distress the edges when dry.

·       Stamp the Christmas sentiment from the Tim Holtz set twice on a left over strip of watercolour paper and heat emboss with the copper powder. Colour with the pink Distress Stain and distress the edges with an emery board or similar.

·       Stamp the angel tag on stamping card with the sepia and when dry, colour with the Distress markers. Add glitter glue to the angel’s wing. Cut the tag out and punch out the hole. Knot some linen ribbon through the top.

·       Assemble the layers on to the card blank, adding the sentiment strip across the base and stick the angel tag on with foam pads for dimension.

Don’t forget you still have a week to enter our current challenge which is The C Word AKA Christmas In July.

See you next week.
