My Story by Mandy C

If you are using chipboard or a beermat as your base then you will need to prime it using gesso. If making a 4 x 4 inch card you can begin without using gesso. J

·       Using the Festive Berries Distress paint, colour the central part of the base, add sapphire around the edges. Blend together. Dry brush Vintage Photo paint over the top. Leave to dry.

·       Once dry, add some of the heart stamps at random using Pumice Stone. Dry.

·       Ink up the ‘Belfords’ advert with black Archival and dab most of the ink onto some paper and then use the stamp to create your background, lightly pressing the stamp in various places. Do not sure the whole of the stamp. The easier way to do this is to use it in your fingers rather than an acrylic block.

·       Stamp your focal image onto stamping card using the black Archival, as well as the heart, the sentiment and the tape measure. Using the sepia Archival stamp the pen nib out.

·       Cut all your images out and colour. Glue onto your background using Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

·       Using the white pen add some lines and texture. Rub into the background rather than leaving lines. It blurs the pen line and creates a softer feel.
