Send Her To The Tower by Lynne Moncrieff

This is a card I made for a friend’s birthday. I incorporated blue into the card as it is a colour I associate with her own craft projects and I also happen to know that she likes Lynne Perrella Collection stamp designs.

Supplies

Lynne Perrella Stamp Collection – LPC006 and LPC008
Blue and Green Daler Rowney Metallic Paints
Martha Stewart Metallic Paints:- Rose Gold and Rose Copper
TCW Mini Gothic Romance Stencil
Tall Cardbase
Extras:- Ceramic tile (recycled), lace, gold netting, scrap of seam binding, Damask stamp from Oxford Impressions’ French script

Instructions:-

Background:-

Apply modelling paste to stencil in a random fashion onto watercolour paper panel.  Leave to dry before applying washes of all the metallic paints, removing some of the paint from the relief design.

Randomly stamp text (Castle Keep) and damask onto the background, aiming for a distressed appearance to the stamping.

Apply Distress Paint to edges before adhering to cardbase.

Embellish the top edge with lace and a small ceramic tile painted with metallic paints.

Moving onto the tag:-

Apply  metallic paints, working in a very loose fashion.

Stamp image from LPC008.

Stamped elements:-

Apply washes of metallic paints onto white cardstock, again working in a loose fashion.

Stamp tower from LPC006. Fussy cut the tower then adhere to the tag.

Onto the same piece of prepared cardstock stamp ornate border and text (Castle Keep) and flower (LPC008).

Tear a small piece of the stamped text and along with mesh fabric and seam binding, adhere to the side of the tag before adhering the actual tag to the cardbase.

Finish the card by adhering the stamped flower and cutting three squares from the stamped ornate border.

Until next week,

Lynne
