Friends by Donna Ratcliff

So everyone ready for the weekend? I have a card with a vintage feel for you today …….

Artistic Outpost Stamps – Paperboy, Chalkboard Wisdom
IndigoBlu Stamps –
Blazing Poppies

Kaisercraft Clear Stamps –
Script

Memento Ink – Tuxedo Black
ProMarkers

Pumice Stone Distress Ink

Sizzix Framework Die - Trellis - this isn’t the one used but would give a very similar effect

Smooth White Stamping Card
Burgundy Card

7” White Card Blank
Silicone Glue
Gelli Plate

1. The background for this card came from my stash of previously made Gelli Prints

2. I stamped the three girls from the Paperboy set onto a piece of smooth white stamping card using Memento Ink and then coloured with ProMarkers in colours to co-ordinate with background.

3. I cut a small square (approx. 2 ¾”) from one of the gelli backgrounds and stamped a little bit of Script onto it before sticking on the coloured and cut out girls.

4. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Chalkboard Wisdom set onto a piece of white card and edged lightly with a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

5. I mounted one complete gelli background, the sentiment and the piece with the girls onto some burgundy card.

6. I added a piece of die cut trellis to the background before mounting up the girls and sentiment…..I’ve used a Spellbinders die but you could use the Sizzix Trellis Die and get a very, very similar effect….I just don’t have it! Lol!

7. To finish I stamped the Blazing Poppies, cut out the flowers, coloured to co-ordinate with ProMarkers and stuck in place with Silicone glue.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and see you next week

Donna xx
