Smile by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have quite a simple creation for you this week as I’ve been a bit short on time and the card is really quick to make and perfect for those occasions when you need something in a bit of a hurry.

Here’s What You Need:

Distress Inks – Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry
Smooth Stamping Card

Here’s How To:

·       Cut a piece of stamping card about 15cm square. I used a large, square acrylic block to apply the ink. I applied stripes of ink to the block, starting with the lemon ink in the centre and adding the orange and pink either side.

·       Brush the card with water and then apply the ink using the block. Use a wet brush to spread the ink a little more and you should end up with a pleasing mottled effect. Dry the card off.

·       Stamp the Ella Bella image on the coloured card with the black ink and then ink up just the flourish section and stamp repeatedly round the edges to form a border.

·       Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner then add the panel to a black card mat. Add this to a white card blank.

As you see, it really is quick and I hope you like the bright, graphic style.

Have a great weekend and don’t forget our new challenge goes live at 8am today.

  2. That is stunning, Fliss! Such beautiful colours and I like how you've used the fllourish from the main image around the edges. No one would know if was a quick make - certainly not the recipient.
