Positive Negative by Deborah

This week I've stuck to simple stamping using one of the faces from All the Gals and the film negative borders from When in Rome.

To get the placement right I arranged all the stamps on an acrylic block with grid lines. However, I then removed the Dina Wakley face and words and stamped the borders first. This is because the Dina Wakley stamps are cushion mounted and therefore thicker than the clear border stamps.

After trimming the white card to size I edged it with a thin line of Umber Promarker, then used Sunflower, Pastel Pink and Sky Blue to colour the hair, lips and eyes.

I mounted the piece onto a folded giant kraft tag. You could thread or hang something from the reinforced hole if you wish but I didn't have anything appropriate to hand - and sometimes, less is more.
