Black Card
Distress Paint ~ Seedless Preserves, Vintage Photo, Broken China

·       Take your white card, spritz it with water and then spray inks. Using water helps create more of a muted palette.

·       Dry with a heat tool. Cut to a bookmark size.

·       Using the ‘it would be so nice….’ stamp randomly onto the bookmark using the blue violet Archival ink. Dry.

·       Take your texture paste and use it through the time travel stencil. Dry. Then apply gilding wax across the raised parts.

·       Add some torn pages from a book (I’ve used Alice in Wonderland to tie in with the bookmark).

·       Begin adding Distress paints around the edges of the bookmark, blend with your fingers. Add more gilding wax and paint until you are happy with the outcome.

·       Stamp the rabbit (got to love him!) onto some card (I’ve used extra thick for him) using black Archival. Colour him in and cut out, adhere to the bookmark. I’ve added some highlights using white pen and blended with my finger.

·       Stamp the Alice words out, cut and edge with the dark brown chalk ink. Adhere to the bookmark, where you think they should go.

·       Edge around the bookmark with the chalk ink.

·       Layer the painty bookmark onto some black card to set it off.

·       Add some beaded trim and a tassel if you like.
