Dina in Distress by Deborah

Of the six faces from the All the Gals stamp set this one is the least detailed and looks as if it was painted rather than drawn with a pen. So I decided to continue the rough, loose style by using Distress Stains rather than inks.

After stamping the face with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain I painted in a body, using one of the figures from Mini Casey and Penelope as a guide. I used one of the texture patterns on the Well Rounded stencil for her top.

I coloured her face and neck with Blush ProMarker and the white in her hair with Dusty Pink. Her top is coloured with Crushed Olive.

I swiped the Peacock Feathers stain around the figure, then stamped part of the Grafitti stamp randomly in Evergreen Bough ink to add some texture. After splatting the Aged Mahogany hard  to make the stain run and wick, I stamped 'Inspire' and the paintbrush in Cobalt and Jet Black respectively, colouring the pen nib with Crushed Olive.

After edging the card with Maroon ProMarker, I attached it to the folded black card with double sided tape.
