Sand Between Your Toes by Lynne Moncrieff

With many in the U.K. experiencing rain, wind and snow I can imagine that many of you wish you were walking on the beach with sand between your toes so I thought I would share this altered project using Artistic Outpost Boardwalk and a wooden shell which I picked up last year in a sale at a home décor store.

Supplies

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Nougat and Irish Cream
Kraft Cardstock (I sourced mine from old box packaging)
Stained Gauze (this was in my stash – it had been stained with fruit tea)
Stencil Brush
Wooden Shell

Instructions

Apply the PaperArsty paints to white cardstock, using a stencil brush to dry brush/stipple the Nougat paint.

Stamp all the required images with VersaFine Vintage Sepia. Abrade and ink edges with Vintage Photo.

Select the stamped images for side one and side two, working out placement.

Work on one side at a time, allowing sufficient drying time. Adhere the stained gauze with gel medium followed with the stamped elements. Once dry flip over to side two and decorate with the man as the focal.

Hang up the wooden shell and have thoughts of sand between your toes!

Until next week,

Wishes

Lynne
