A Breath Of Spring by Fliss Goodwin

Hello there, I have a card for you this week which again uses one of the mono printed papers I made whilst playing with the Stampendous Creative Palette a couple of weeks back. This time you’ll be able to tell I’m thinking of Spring which is coming closer now every day – or at least I hope so!

Here’s What You Need:

Stamps Used:

Distress Inks – Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn

Here’s How To:

·       Cut a piece of mono printed paper to fit your card blank and dry emboss with the leafy side of the embossing folder. Tap the raised areas with the Crushed Olive Distress ink until roughly covered. Don’t worry if you get any ink on the surrounding area as it just adds to the grungy effect.

·       Stamp the 2 birds image on to manila card with the black ink and add a little colour with the Aquamarkers. Trim into a circular shape with a circle cutter or die and add to a larger mat of kraft card. I chose to use a scalloped die for this.

·       Stamp several flower heads of your choice on to manila card with the black ink. Colour with the Aquamarkers in Springtime colours and cut out. Die cut some leaves and ink these with the Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress inks.

·       Assemble the card as you see and add a sentiment to finish if you like.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.

  1. Love the contrast between the crispness of the stamping and the almost anaglypta wallpaper-like background.
