Cherish by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have a very simple card for you this week for those occasions when you need a quick make. Something rather important for me at the moment as being in accountancy we’re currently suffering a very heavy workload with the tax return deadline looming! The idea for my card was inspired by the collage style stamp with its’ integral doily.

Here’s What You Need:

Kaisercraft Single Clear Stamp – Vintage Cherish
Gelatos – I used colours from the Designing With Gelatos Colors Kit
White Doily

Here’s How To:

·       First make the coloured paper for the scalloped edge circles. Colour the watercolour paper by scribbling on Gelatos. I used yellow, dark and light pink and the blue from the kit. I started scribbling at the bottom with the lighter colours, working up to the top with the deeper pink and blue. Spray with water and blend the colours with a wide paintbrush. Die cut 2 circles with the scallop dies, making sure that one is mostly orange yellow and the other pink and blue.

·       Stamp the collage image on to the smooth stamping card with the purple ink. When the image is dry, colour with pencils to tone in with the painted circles. Trim round the shape and colour the edges as well.

·       Cut a square of kraft card to fit your card blank and stick on. Add the white doily and the painted scallop circles in an arrangement you like and finish off with the coloured collage panel. Easy peasy!

Have a great day and see you next week.

  1. I like the way you used this collage stamp especially using a real doily on your background.
