Voyage of Discovery by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have a card for you this week which came about because my other half spotted the cover of a book I was reading (I’m a big fan of Victorian steampunk type novels) and yelled “dirigibles”! He was apparently reading a book about airships at the time so what else could I do for his birthday last week but a card involving dirigibles.

Here’s What You Need:

Distress Stains – Barn Door, Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass, Rusty Hinge
Kraft Card Blank
Photo Corners

Here’s How To:

Stamp the flying machines collage on the stamping card with the coffee ink, leaving a fairly wide margin so that you can tear the edges later on. Ink up the acrylic block with the Antique Linen ink and press down on to the stamped card to add colour. When you’re happy with it, allow to dry off a little.

Paint the flying machines with the Distress Stains, adding a little colour to the background areas with the Tumbled Glass. Tear the edges for a distressed look.

Cut a piece of kraft card to fit the clock embossing folder and dry emboss. Trim if necessary then attach photo corners and stick to the left side of the card blank.

Add the flying machine panel to the right side of the card and finish off with some of the chit chat stickers. I chose words to fit the theme but there are loads of other words which would fit the image panel just as well.

Here’s hoping you have a lovely Christmas with lots of crafty pressies.

See you on the other side!
