Enjoy the Journey/Live in the Moment by Paula Whittaker

Morning All – Today I’ve taken the humble piece of copier/printer paper and made it in to a backing paper. Why not give it a go….it’s a really cheap way to experiment!

Supplies:

Label Letters
Copier/Printer Paper

Card 1 – Live in the Moment

·       Take a piece of A4 copier/printer paper and randomly spritz over with the Dylusions ink spray….use a paper towel or a paint brush and spread the ink over the paper but it doesn’t have to be perfectly covered. Dry with a heat tool or hairdryer.

·       Cut a piece of this paper to the size of your card blank. Use a piece of sand paper to rub a long all the edges and across the paper itself.

·       Use the 2nd and/or 3rd generation stamped image using the Keys stamps and Gathered Twigs ink. Then use the Keys and Mini 72 across the paper too using the Gathered Twigs again. Stick this panel to the card blank.

·       Add a couple of piece of washi tape and then rub on some numbers. Take the Art Part and colour using the Berry Red pen, then stamp over the top with the numbers stamp. Pick up some Gathered Twigs ink on to some cut-n-dry and colour the edges of the Art Part. Adhere to the card.

·       Finally, add the label letters and hinge clip.

Card 2 – Enjoy the Journey

·       Take a small section of the paper you have left over from the first card, which you’ve coloured using the Dylusions ink – crumple this piece up, flatten it out and lightly rub over with the gathered twigs ink pad and then stamp with the numbers stamp. Rib, tear and roughen all the edges of this section of paper.

·       Add some washi tape to the card base and adhere the stamped paper section.

·       Colour the art part car with the Berry Red pen. Stamp with the numbers stamp and then colour the edges using some Gathered Twigs on some Cut-n-Dry.

·       Finally, add the label letters and the rub on word ‘Journey’.
