Alice in Wonderland Card by Paula Whittaker

Morning Everyone - I’m thrilled to say I’ve been asked to join this wonderfully talented Design Team (many thanks again Laura) and today is my first project for the team. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to keep up with the high standard they’ve set!

So, on with the card details…….

Supplies:

Distress Inks: Black Soot; Weathered Wood; Broken China: Brushed Corduroy
Memento Ink Pad – Gray Flannel; Tuxedo Black
Paula Pascual Stamp Set – Punchable Labels
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Remnant Rubs – Christmas Time
Red Flower
Die’s – Leaves and Fir Tree
Black Lettering
Wording from Alice and Wonderland Book

·       To begin with, I stamped the Vintage Santa on to a piece of scrap paper and cut out the Santa from the centre of the image. I then inked the stamp with Gray Flannel; placed the mask over the Santa part on the stamp; and stamped this horizontally on to the card blank.

·       Stamp the image again on to scrap paper; cut out and place this over the stamped image on the card. Next, ink the Keys stamp with Grey Flannel and stamp across the card front till completely covered.

·       You will need to cut the centre out of the mask you created in the above step, place this again over the stamped image and then stamp the Alice image within the circle. While you have the mask on, stamp the Mini 72 stamp with Broken China across the card front.

·       Using a piece of Cut’n’Dry foam take some Weathered Wood and wipe along all the edges; followed by Black Soot.

·       Use the number stamp from the Paula Pascual set and randomly stamp using black ink. Colour Alice and around the stamped Keys with Alcohol Markers.

·       Die Cut the foliage and colour using the Pear Green ProMarker and some Brushed Corduroy ink. Add the foliage, flower, key and wording from the book to the card. Finally, add the lettering to spell Alice and then add the rub on wording “in wonderland”.

  5. Wow, that's a stunning background Paula and very cleverly executed. Absolutely love the deep red flower and bright green foliage against the more muted background.
