Witch Hazel by Lynne Moncrieff

The stylish Witch Hazel, always to be seen with a hat perched jauntily on her head, sparkle in her hair and an outfit that froths with black lace, can be seen in her Apothecary Shop late at night where her friendly pet bat watches over her.

SUPPLIES
VersaFine: Vintage Sepia and Black
Walnut Ink Crystals (substitute with Distress Stain or Re-inker Walnut Stain)
Corrugated Cardboard (I re-cycled a cardboard box)
Extras:- Oxford Impressions Haunted (gothic border), stained gauze and black lace

INSTRUCTIONS

Tear panel from corrugated cardboard (I soaked the panel first, peeling the layers whilst wet and leaving to dry).

Apply Gesso, walnut ink solution and black Gelato, heat setting as required.

Apply more walnut ink solution onto white cardstock then I stamped the images with VersaFine. A craft knife is needed for the bat.

The hat is perched onto Witch Hazel’s head with a generous sprinkle of Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mica Flakes in Tarnished Brass. They catch the light beautifully, an effect that hasn’t translated to the photograph. All elements were adhered with Gel Medium except the stamped border which was adhered with silicone glue for dimension.

Continue to adhere the other stamped elements layering Mr Bat with stained gauze.

Using Gel Medium, I sprinkled black glitter onto three stars and a bat and more mica flakes were added to the broom and randomly to the edges of the panel. Finally stained gauze was tied into a shabby bow.

Until next time.

Wishes

Lynne
