All you need is Love by Paula Whittaker

Hi folks - Paula here and yes, I’m making a return as a Guest DT member….so, a big thank you to Laura for giving me another opportunity to be part of her fabulous team.

I’m going to be up front and tell you that I shall be showcasing the Crafty Individuals/Alice Palace Design Bunnies as my main stamp for this month – I hope to show you different backgrounds, layouts and ways to use this stamp. Fingers crossed you’ll like the projects I’m going to show you in the coming weeks.

Supplies:

Distress Inks: Salty Ocean; Mowed Lawn; Brushed Corduroy
Distress Paints: Salty Ocean; Mowed Lawn

·       Drop a tiny amount of the Salty Ocean Distress paint on to the top half of the Gelli Plate, brayer it out just along the top as this is going to become the sky. Drop a tiny amount of the Mowed Lawn paint on to the bottom half of the plate and then brayer out along the bottom, this will be the grass.

·       Cut the back ground panel down to fit a top folded C6 card blank.

·       To create the sky, draw a cloud shape on to a piece of scrap paper and cut out –  then take some Salty Ocean Distress ink on a piece of Cut’n’Dry foam. Place the cloud mask on to the background panel and wipe the ink over the top half of the cloud, keep repeating this process across the sky part of the background.

·       Take the Lattice stamp, ink up with Mowed Lawn ink, stamp on to a piece of scrap paper and use the 2nd impression along the green painted part of the background panel.

·       Ink the edges of the background panel with Brushed Corduroy and also use it through some sequin waste randomly across the background.

·       Stamp the sentiment with VersaFine.

·       Affix the background panel to the card blank.

·       Stamp the Bunnies with Memento ink onto some stamping paper, cut out, colour the crowns and adhere to the card.

·       Punch out a heart shape from red paper, colour the edges with Brushed Corduroy and use the ink through some sequin waste too.

  1. You kept that under your (party) hat, Paula :-) Welcome back. Your card is lovely - what a great idea to use the gelli to make landscapes.

Paula, das ist so goldig mit dem kleinen roten Herz, das könnte man auch gut als Hochzeitskarte nehmen :-)

  9. Fantastic card Paula, I love those fabulous hares, they are the cutest love stamps on the planet! The gelli background looks fantastic too, love how you did the clouds and that subtle stamping on the green just brings the grass to life. Love it and can't wait to see what else you will do with this stamp!

  11. I love these hares (sorry, I refuse to believe they're rabbits, despite the name of the stamp) - and your background is so cool!
