Wish You Were Here Postcard by Mandy C

Ruler stamp ~ this one is ideal
Cosmic Shimmer Mists ~ Aqua Lagoon, Teal Wash and Pearl
White Card
Stamping Paper (I use 160gsm smooth)
Gold Gel Pen

·       Cut out 2 pieces of 6 x 4 inch card. Taking one, and the mask and Cosmic Shimmer mists, spray through the mask. Then using what's left on the mask (negative), place onto the second card. This is the piece we are using as it gives white ‘waves’. Either leave to dry or dry with a heat tool.

·       On your stamping paper, stamp out your mermaid, 6 Octopode heart stems, a ruler and a few shells from the 7 Gypsies mini set. Use Archival Ink, I like to use Black Archival as I like the bold effect of the outline.

·       Colour the images in. I’ve used a gold gel pen to draw curls onto the mermaid tail. Cut out.

·       Once your postcard is dry, stamp the fancy border from the Floral Tattoo Tim Holtz set along the top of the postcard using Aquamarine Archival ink.

·       Randomly stamp the script from the Sheena set across the background (adds some texture). This is a must-have set.

·       First, adhere your mermaid where you would like her… then place the stems as if it is seaweed. Glue down. Glue your ruler down then edge your postcard with the Distress paint, finally stick your shells over the edges of the postcard.

·       Stamp the script from the 7 Gypsies set next to the mermaid with the Blue Violet Archival ink.

·       The words are computer generated, printed, edged, cut out and glued in place.
