Just Be You by Deborah

Distress Stains: Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmelade
Distress Inks: Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye
ProMarkers: Henna, Terracotta, Sunflower, Pumpkin
Archival Ink: Coffee
Card Blank 5 x 5
Corrugated Card or Paper
Sizzix Framelets – Tags Rounded (alternatively, hand cut your bee hive)
Double Sided Foam Tape
Glue Stick

For the background tear some copy paper into a rough square, slightly smaller than your card front.

Apply Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Stain.  Then stamp heaxagons, chicken wire and ‘so sweet’ in Rusty Hinge and Tea Dye.  Over-stamp bees from A Bug’s Life and My Mind’s Eye Happiness Honey in Coffee Archival (first and second stamping). Glue to card blank.

Cut a bee hive shape, with opening, either with a die or by hand from the corrugated paper (mine was the packaging from inside a biscuit tin) and rub with Wild Honey and Mustard Seed Distress Stains. Rub the Rusty Hinge ink pad lightly over the top and outline all edges with a Henna Promarker.

Glue to the card, then colour the doorway with Terracotta Promarker. Stamp the 7 Gypsies bee in the doorway.

Stamp the sentiment and the bee girl on white card with Coffee Archival, colour with Distress Stains and Promarkers, then affix with double sided foam tape. Those of you more deft than I am could cut round the antennae – I drew mine on with a fine black pen.
