Beware of the Type Door Hanger by Mandy C

These door hangers are fab value at £1.00 each and make a great gift idea.

·       I went straight in with the Distress paints… I used Bundled Sage in the centre of the hanger, Fired Brick around the edge. I then blended them together with a baby wipe. I added a smidge of Chipped Sapphire around the outer edge and blended that in, then I blended a tiny bit of Picked Raspberry.

·       Leave to dry, you can dry with a heat tool but don’t go too close as the paint bubbles up. The Distress paints dry really quickly.

·       Using the chicken wire mask and Spiced Marmalade Distress paint, add random diamonds over the door hanger.  Leave to dry.

·       Take your button girl stamp and ink up the head up only… stamp centrally just under the hole in the hanger. Then stamp the image again onto stamping card. Cut the image out without the headdress and line up the image and using Glue and Seal stick it in place.

·       Stamp some script (just bits and pieces of it) in olive in random places. And then add some flourishes around the edges in black Archival.

·       Using a piece of tissue, stamp a sentiment (this is an old stamp I bought many moons ago) using Glue and Seal add to the top of the hanger.

·       Add some colour to the girl with the watercolour pencils and edge the diamonds made with the mask.

·       Add Glossy Accents to the butterfly wings.

·       Add Crackle Accents to the flourishes and the ‘stems’ on the headdress.

·       Add Stickles to the headdress and the big button. Stickles are on offer this week 25% off!

·       Once dry, edge with the turquoise chalk ink.
