Alpha Numeric Canvas by Paula Whittaker

We are delighted to announce that Paula Whittaker is our guest DT member for June
and would like to wish her a very warm welcome.

Supplies:
Die Cut Letter and Numbers (I used some ones that came with a 12x12 paper pack)
Bronze Ink Pad (NOT IN SHOP)
Copper Nails (from a DIY shop)

·       Glue the die cut letters and numbers on to the canvas.

·       Paint the canvas with one even coat of black gesso. Leave to dry.

·       Shake the Distress Paint and rub over the canvas, it doesn’t have to be all over, a patchy look is ok.

·       Once the paint is dry, take the ink pad directly to the canvas (my ink pad was a small square pad) rub along all the edges and wipe here and there across the front and sides. I then dabbed a little more Distress Paint here and there till I was happy with the look.

·       While the ink and paint are still damp, randomly sprinkle some black embossing powder here and there, and then heat set.

·       Take the Art Part frame and colour it with the bronze ink pad, and sprinkle some black embossing powder on here and there, heat set.

·       Colour the Art Part square shape with the bronze ink and wipe with a paper towel. Stamp the Lynne Perrella image with the Jet Black Archival ink. Highlight some areas of the stamped image with ProMarkers.

·       Add a Remnant Rub across the stamped image. Add the Art Parts on to the canvas.

·       Colour the Idea-ology Word Band with the bronze ink pad, add a sprinkle of black embossing powder, heat set (Don’t pick the metal word band up after you’ve just heated it!! Leave to cool before handling). Glue on to the canvas.

·       Adhere the numbers and dab with the Distress Paint.

·       Finally, glue on the nails, as shown.
