Cupid’s Day by Mandy C

For this Valentine’s card I have used:

Damask from THIS set
Chalk inks ~ Colorbox and VersaMagic
Watercolours
Gold Gel Pen

·       Stamp the flagstone onto a piece of card using brown StazOn.

·       Stamp the cupid using VersaFine onto card twice. Glue one of the cupids centrally onto the flagstone. Trim around the flagstone piece to fit the cupid with not too much or too little of the stamping showing.

·       Colour with watercolours, including the second cupid image. Leave to dry. Add touches of gold gel pen.

·       Edge the background with chalk ink.

·       Trim a piece of textured card to fit behind the background and then a second larger piece on smooth card, use spritzers to colour. I used turquoise for the linen and red shades for the plain card. Dry.

·       Take the turquoise textured card and stamp with Archival and the damask pattern.

·       Edge the turquoise card. Layer the turquoise onto the red and the flagstone background onto the turquoise.

·       Cut out the cupid from the extra you have stamped. Attach with 3d foam pads.

  1. Love the look of this - such great colours. You've taken the same stamp as Fliss on her lovely pink and gold 'Adore' canvas and made it look totally different.
