Adore Postcard by Mandy C

Watercolour pencils
Selection of Collage Images

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art theme is Silhouettes. Although I made one earlier, I was inspired to make another entry. Here’s what I did.

·       Cut a piece of card to 6 x 4 inches in size.

·       Take a scraper and a couple of Eco Green Paints and scrape paint over the background. I used Lake and TidePool. Dry with a heat tool.

·       Once dry, stamp the perfume stamp down the left hand edge using the Aquamarine Archival ink, dry (very wet inks, so dry with a heat tool to set) then I stamped over that with the StazOn Stone Gray. I also used the gray to stamp Boutique over the rest of the postcard. Once again heat set.

·       Using the ‘Arty’ stamp and black Archival stamp a ‘stage’ for the ballerina. Heat set.

·       Adhere all the collage images you’d like to use. Stamp Adore in Archival. Edge with Dark Moss chalk ink and draw a line with the fineliner.

·       Finally using watercolour pencils create ‘shadows’ around the collage images.

Come and join in at Sunday Postcard Art.

  1. Your postcard is delicious, Mandy. The Kaisercraft stamps make a fanastic backdrop for collage.

  2. Beautiful postcard Mandy. Love the background you've created. Just perfect for the silhouette dancer and pretty roses.
