New Year Card by Mandy C

Square card blank
Watercolour pencils
Small alphabet set

Cut the textured card to fit just inside the card blank. Wipe the Distress inks over the card starting with the Mustard Seed in the centre and working outwards with the other two colours. They will mix together and blend. *you could use Distress Stains.

Stamp the party girl with black Archival, blast with the heat tool, then colour using watercolours.

Once the background is dry, use the Aquamarine ink through the stencil. I've used a bingo stencil. I used the ink randomly through the stencil.

Position party girl onto the card to see where you want the musical notes stamped. Glue the girl image down and stamp the notes with Black Archival.

Use the Aquamarine ink on a ‘scratch’ stamp and ink around the edges to grunge it up. You could make your own scratches using the edge of a ruler dipped in ink.

Stamp ‘happy new year’in black, edge around the card with Aquamarine ink and then adhere to the card blank with double sided tape.

I then added some watercolours around the edges to make it a tad bit more vibrant.
